WHAT
ARE HORNED FROGS?
Horned
Frogs are predacious frogs found in South America. They are placed in
their own, subfamily, the Ceratophryinae, which is contained with the
family Leptodactylidae. The horned frogs, as a group, attain a moderate
to large size.
Range
– Ecuador, Peru, Columbia, Venezuela, Brail, Paraguay.
Ornate
Horned Frogs – Ceratophrys Cranwelli.
(Top Picture to the left) This is an albino baby frog.
Feeding
– I would suggest that a diet of low fat insects, worms and fish but I
do give them hoppers and baby mice. They can, as they grow larger, be
fed adult mice.
